Overview
Haven is designed from the ground up to protect your privacy. We collect no personal data. We have no servers that receive your health information. Your data stays on your device, encrypted, under your control.
This policy describes what Haven does and does not do with your information.
Information We Do Not Collect
Haven does not collect, transmit, store, or share any of the following:
- ✓Cycle data, period dates, or fertility information
- ✓Symptoms, mood, or health observations
- ✓Journal entries or personal notes
- ✓Birth control schedules or medication reminders
- ✓Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- ✓Location data
- ✓Analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports
- ✓Any personally identifiable information
How Your Data Is Stored
All data you enter into Haven is stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted SQLite database using SQLCipher with AES-256 encryption. Encryption keys are stored in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, respectively, and are never transmitted anywhere.
Haven does not require an internet connection and does not request network access permissions. It is physically incapable of sending your data to any server.
Backups
Haven allows you to export encrypted backup files with a .haven extension. These files are encrypted with your device’s key and are stored wherever you choose — locally on your device or in a cloud storage provider of your choice (such as iCloud or Google Drive). Lawn Dart! Systems, LLC has no access to these backup files.
If you use a cloud storage service for backups, that service’s privacy policy applies to the encrypted backup file stored there. The contents remain encrypted and inaccessible without your device key.
Calendar Integration
Haven offers an optional feature to sync appointment reminders to your device’s native calendar. If you enable this feature, Haven will request calendar permission to write appointment events only. No health data, symptoms, cycle information, or journal entries are written to the calendar. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
Doctor Export
Haven can generate a PDF summary of your tracked data for use in medical appointments. This PDF is created on your device and stored locally or shared using your device’s native share sheet. Lawn Dart! Systems, LLC does not receive or have access to any exported documents.
Third-Party Services
Haven does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. There are no third-party SDKs in Haven that collect data.
Children’s Privacy
Haven is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Haven collects no personal information from anyone, no special handling is required — there is simply no data to collect.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app’s release notes. Continued use of Haven after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We do not anticipate changes that would involve collecting data — that would be fundamentally contrary to the purpose of Haven.
