Summary
Haven is a fully offline mobile app. It does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party data sharing. Every piece of information you record in Haven stays encrypted on your device, under your control.
No data collection
Haven does not collect any of the following:
- ✓Cycle data, period dates, or fertility information
- ✓Symptoms, mood, or health observations
- ✓Journal entries or personal notes
- ✓Birth control schedules or medication reminders
- ✓Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- ✓IP addresses or location data
- ✓Analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports
- ✓Any personally identifiable information
No internet permission
Haven does not request internet access permission and does not make network requests of any kind. The app is physically incapable of sending your data to any server. You can verify this by inspecting the permission list shown by your device’s app store before installation.
No analytics, tracking, or telemetry
Haven contains no third-party SDKs that collect data. There is no Google Firebase Analytics, no Apple App Analytics opt-in, no Crashlytics, no Sentry, no advertising or attribution SDKs. The app does not phone home for any reason — including to check for updates, fetch configuration, or report errors.
No accounts
Haven has no login, no user profile, no email registration, and no cloud sync. You install the app and use it. There is nothing to sign up for, nothing to remember, and nothing on a server tied to you.
Local storage and encryption
All data you enter into Haven is stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted SQLite database using SQLCipher with AES-256-GCM encryption.
Encryption keys are stored in your platform’s secure key storage:
- ·iOS: Keychain (with hardware-backed protection where available)
- ·Android: Android Keystore (with hardware-backed protection where available)
Encryption keys are generated on-device, are never transmitted, and are not known to Lawn Dart Systems, LLC.
Backups (.haven format)
Haven supports user-initiated backup files with a .haven extension. Key properties:
- ·User-initiated only. Haven never creates or uploads a backup automatically.
- ·Locally encrypted. Backup files are encrypted with your device’s key before they leave the encrypted database.
- ·You choose where they go. You can keep a backup on the device, share it via your platform’s native share sheet, or save it to a cloud storage provider of your choice. We never see it.
No advertising or third-party sharing
Haven contains no advertising, no advertising SDKs, and no monetization mechanism that involves your data. We do not share data with affiliates, partners, advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party — because we do not have any data to share.
Children's privacy
Haven is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because Haven collects no information from anyone — including children — no special handling is required.
Data retention
Your data exists on your device only. It is retained for as long as you keep the app installed and choose to keep the data. Uninstalling Haven, clearing the app’s data via your device settings, or performing a factory reset will remove all Haven data permanently. Because nothing is stored on our servers, there is no server-side data to retain or to delete.
Your rights and control
You have full and exclusive control over your data:
- ·Access: the app is the source of truth — everything you’ve recorded is visible inside Haven.
- ·Export: the doctor-export PDF and
.havenbackup files give you a copy of your data. - ·Delete: uninstalling Haven, or clearing app data via device settings, removes everything. There are no server-side records to request deletion of.
Calendar integration (optional)
Haven offers an optional feature to add appointment reminders to your device’s native calendar. If you enable it, Haven will request calendar permission to write appointment events only — no health data, symptoms, cycle information, or journal entries are written. You can revoke calendar permission at any time in your device settings.
Doctor export (optional)
Haven can generate a PDF summary of your tracked data for use in medical appointments. The PDF is created on your device and shared using your device’s native share sheet. Lawn Dart Systems, LLC does not receive or have access to any exported document.
Jurisdiction
Lawn Dart Systems, LLC is a Texas limited liability company (TX SOS file number 806569155). This privacy policy and any disputes arising under it are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and note the change in the app’s release notes. Continued use of Haven after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We do not anticipate changes that would involve collecting data — that would be fundamentally contrary to the purpose of Haven.
